Black Heart by DaMoyre

Poem

I hear the whispers and sense the fear,
The dark sky, laughing at me.
One hit, wounding my heart
Ravenous creature, haunting the night.

Black heart, sinister smile
I feel your presence, corrupting my mind.
Sharp tongue, so full of lies
Your evil eyes, regarding the night.

I hear you whisper and sense the fear
Your cold breath, so close to me.
So white and pure, the morning star;
You hide your claws, an angel's disguise.

Black heart, you can't fool me.
From my veins, you won't drink.
I know your game, your poisonous tricks;
You are the serpent, but I'm not Eve.

I sense your presence but no longer fear.
You whisper something I no longer hear.
Black heart I know that you thirst,
But from my blood you won't drink.
