With special dedication to: Suntide, for Anything For Love

To a Mortal by DaMoyre

Poem

Loving the night,
Every twinkling star
The glowing moon,
Forget sunrise.

The miracle of love,
The sparkle in your eyes,
Under the dark sky...
Your blinding charms

Crazy, crazy, crazy
I must be losing my mind
We act and think alike,
I need not read your mind

And the day arrives,
The night runs out
I must let you go,
Let the illusion die;

And if I were to hold you tight,
Keep you by my side,
Would you sacrifice your sunshine?
I see the light through your eyes.

Crazy, crazy, crazy
I must be losing my mind
We act and think alike
But we're so far apart

The warmth of you,
Sweet scent of life...
In my world of darkness,
How would you survive?

Empty promises...
Rainbows in the dark
Your world and mine,
Secrets of the night...

Crazy, crazy, crazy,
I must be losing my mind
You could be my mirror
And yet...it wouldn't last.
