Summary: A look into the demented world of David Bowie's concept album, 'Diamond Dogs'. First in a triology of songfics, follows Trowa's journey of redemption.
Warnings: Watch for all of the following: Almost non-concensual situations, high angst, kinky (possibly squicky) sex, graphic male/ male sex, bastardized Treize, bastardized/sickified Zechs, wild OOC behavior, and my ever popular happy/sappy ending. ^__^ I've tried not to forget anything to warn you about, but know that this is a *very* dark fic, and some extreme type things happen.
Feedback: I'd love to hear anything you have to say, good or bad.
Notes: In 1974, David Bowie released one of his many concept albums entitled, 'Diamond Dogs.' He wanted to call it '1984', since it was supposed to be his musical representation of Orwell's classic novel _1984_, but couldn't get permission. I feel that this is one of his most underappreciated albums, and consider it among my favorites. True, it is the general consensus among his fans that he didn't quite reach the goal he'd set out to accomplish, to set Orwell's novel to music, *but* I think he managed to come up with something special.
There are three related songs on the album, 'Sweet Thing,' 'Candidate,' and the 'Sweet Thing' reprise. This is the first in a trilogy of fics that I have planned. ^__^ I don't particularly like this set of songs, but the lyrics are...interesting. ^;;
