This is Perfection
by: Jezebel

The storm was furious. Outside, the wind was screeching, the trees rustling, and the snow accumulating at an alarming rate.

This didn't matter to the occupants of the cabin, however.

For inside, there was a rather drastic change in scenery. A warm, crackling fire cast a bright glow of red around the room. Remnants of dinner adorned the small table in the dining area, and various articles of clothing were thrown haphazardly around the room.

Curled up in numerous blankets on the couch, Heero Yuy dozed lightly. His eyes shut and his unruly hair falling in his face, Heero was the picture of total serenity to the other boy in the cabin.

Trowa walked to the couch quietly, not wanting to disturb his lover. He placed two mugs of tea down on the coffee table, and was content to watch Heero sleep.

The slight sound of the mug on the table roused Heero from his nap. He opened his eyes and stared at Trowa.

"I brought you some tea," Trowa said quietly.

Heero sat up a little, the blankets falling to his waist exposing some of his nude body.

"Thanks."

He accepted the mug from Trowa, and sipped carefully.

The two drank their tea in silence. The two boys were wrapped up in their own thoughts. Heero was wishing this mini vacation would never end. It wasn't often he got a break from the Preventers. Actually, to be fair, none of the former Gundam Pilots ever got vacation time. It took a while to convince Une to let him and Trowa come up to the mountains for a weekend. When she finally relented, Trowa and Heero had packed quickly and made their getaway. They had spent most of their time enjoying each other's company in the solitude of the cabin.

Heero gave a sidelong glance at Trowa. He wondered what the equally quiet boy was thinking.

Trowa suddenly put his mug down when he saw Heero stare at him. He brought his hand to Heero's face, and caressed it softly. Heero leaned into the touch, enjoying the slight warmth of Trowa's fingers from the hot mug of tea. Trowa continued to caress, all the while staring into Heero's eyes.

Trowa had been waiting for this weekend just as anxiously as Heero had. He knew he didn't express himself in words that often, but Heero had taught him to act on his emotions. That was how the two became lovers in the first place. It had taken awhile for the two silent boys to communicate their mutual feelings, but finally it had all come together.

Trowa knew he felt more for Heero than just a casual lover. He wanted to tell Heero this in his own words, but found it difficult.

Outside, the storm surged.

"Trowa?" Heero questioned.

Trowa closed his eyes and brought his lips to Heero's. It was a gentle kiss, barely a brushing of the lips. They broke apart, and Heero handed Trowa his mug, who placed it next to his.

"What do you think of all this, Heero?" Trowa asked suddenly.

Heero was taken aback.

A branch slapped against the window angrily.

"Of all...this?" he asked slowly.

Trowa nodded slightly.

Heero was quiet. He looked up at his lover, face impassive as ever, green eye hidden behind his bang.

Heero realized that Trowa needed this. For months now they had been lovers, but had never spoken of their feelings. Heero realized he needed this as much as Trowa did.

"I think that it's taken me a very long time to find what I want, and be happy with it." He paused, unsure whether to continue or not.

"Yes?" Trowa prodded him gently.

"I think that for once, I *am* happy. I feel content with everything in my life right now. And you are the reason why."

Heero fell silent. He was unfamiliar with spilling his secrets, and didn't know how Trowa would deal with it, either.

Trowa, however, felt a sense of relief flood through him. All this time, there was doubt that Heero truly cared for him. Now it seems he was worrying about nothing.

Heero felt he couldn't look Trowa in the face, so he stared into the fire, instead.

"Heero." Trowa gently cupped Heero's face in his palms, and stared deeply into his eyes.

Heero didn't respond, but didn't look away, either.

"I love you." Trowa breathed quietly in Heero's ear.

The fire hissed angrily, and sparks flew from the grate.

Trowa felt a slight tremor go through Heero's body, and embraced him tightly.

"I...love you too, Trowa."

Heero felt the weight lift from his chest. He had said it, and there was no turning back now. Heero didn't want to turn back.

"This..."

"Yes?" Heero questioned.

"This is perfection." Trowa murmured.

Heero let his fingers slide through Trowa's hair.

"The cabin...the fire..the storm. Just being here with you. This is perfection. I don't need anything else."

Heero held onto Trowa tightly. For someone who rarely spoke, Trowa knew how to make up for it when he did.

"You're right...it is perfection." Heero whispered.

They stayed locked in their embrace, listening to the sounds of the storm outside.

"Come here," Heero said huskily, leaning back onto the couch.

Trowa did so wordlessly, reaching towards Heero.

"Wait." Heero commanded.

Trowa merely raised his eyebrow.

"Not with those jeans on."

There was a slight twinkle in that green eye, but still no words came from Trowa.

Trowa removed his jeans, and Heero opened up the blankets for him. Trowa climbed on top of Heero, and pinned him to the couch.

Their fingers intertwined tightly, and Trowa kissed Heero passionately. Their eyes met, green into blue, and they ignored everything else around them.

The harsh storm outside didn't matter to them. They were safe inside their own world. As the two boys joined in union of their love, the storm outside seemed to shriek its approval of their joining.

Everything else faded away for Trowa and Heero, as they basked in their knowledge of what true perfection was.
