Moon
Blossom [*] was a somewhat socially awkward Knowledge
sim. She was all alone in the world, but had managed to get a scholarship
for L'Academie de Tour. Her room was small, but the furniture was functional,
and the door was lockable. She was less than thrilled to have only one
bathroom per floor - but since hardly anyone else ever used them (*eww*),
it's wasn't too much of a chore.
[*] I had no idea I was going to use her as a Legacy
founder, otherwise, I'd have come up with a better name. This is also
why there are not many storytelling pics of her from her Uni years.

But dorm life was hard for Moon: all these people!
The
masses of them freaked her out.

It took nearly all of her first year until she started to occasionally
brave the community rooms. Thankfully, one of the older students, Stacy
Phelps, usually saw her lurking around the corners and always invited
her to try and accompany Stacy on the piano. Her playing was abysmal
(she had only 1 creativity point), but there was one guy, Aiden, who
would always tip her. How nice of him - even if he did look slightly
like a duck. He often hung out or danced with another guy, Adam.

At first, Moon worked in the cafeteria a lot, to make ends meet - but
there were all these people around, and it just stressed her. Eventually
she found another method of income: some years ago, she had inherited
a strange plant from an obscure uncle she had never met. It had intrigued
her enough that she had developed an interest in biology and had chosen
this as her major, and now that paid off: the plant grew money!

At the beginning of Junior Year, Moon had harvested enough money to
be able to afford her own place, where she also could start to grow
more specimens of this lucrative little plant:

Immediately after she moved out, Aiden - a family sim, btw - started
to develop an interest in her. He called her at least once every day,
and often begged to come over. Adam had dropped out, and he really wanted
a study partner. Moon never really knew how to say no to him...

During the beginning of Senior year, Moon started to wonder about her
sexuality. She'd always gotten along better with other women, and with
the many openly lesbian and gay couples on campus, she began to suspect
that she might be sexually attracted to her own gender as well.

Aiden didn't react well when she mentioned it, and told her she was
just "trying to avoid her attraction to him". It was their first major
disagreement, and Moon was starting to think that she'd be better off
without him.

But then Aiden decided that she just needed to get over her "inhibitions",
and to "lose her fear over Aiden's passionate love for her". He pretty
much streamrolled right over her and talked her into sex. And, after
the sex, he insisted that he was, of course, a gentleman, and would
make an honest woman out of her as soon as he graduated (by this time,
he was a year behind Moon, because he had failed most of his classes
the previous year).

Moon had no idea how to handle him, so she took the coward's way out:
right after her graduation (summa cum laude, of course), she packed
her bags and left campus in the middle of the night, without telling
anyone where she was going. Pretty much by accident, she landed right
outside a small town called Normalville, and on impulse decided to buy
a plot of land.

But that purchase nearly depleted all of her funds, so she could only
afford the bare outline of a home. She did find a job - but only briefly,
because being surrounded by so many people, and being under stress to
produce results, bothered her so much that she felt ill most of the
time and quickly had to quit. Still, the little bit of money she had
earned meant that her home became a little bit more liveable.
I'm playing with JMPescado's No20KHandout mod, which means that sims
that move out from of a family don't get 20K, but rather get a proportional
part of the family fortune.

Her bouts of nausea didn't go away, however, and after 3 months she
finally realized that her one night with Aiden had left her pregnant.
She freaked - she had a home that was barely liveable, no money, and
no idea of how to take care of a child. In her desperation, the only
thing she could think of was to call Aiden and tell him.

Aiden immediately packed his bags, dropped out of University, and moved
in with her.
He did find a job (Slacker career, doing web designs - he said he wanted
to be able to spend as much time as possible at home with Moon and the
baby). With the money he brought and what he made from the job, they
built a bigger house - with many rooms, because Aiden was hoping for
many more children.

As her due date got closer and closer, Moon spent nearly all of the
time she was home alone standing at the window, waiting for Aiden to
come home. The idea of giving birth alone scared her.

Thankfully, labor started in the middle of the night, with Aiden right
there.

It turned out to be a baby boy, which Aiden promptly named Norman. Moon
thought the name was horrible, but Aiden didn't care - it was *his*
son and heir, and he was going to name him! He doted on the baby.

Moon wasn't quite so happy: motherhood didn't really come naturally
to her, and for months, she woke up in the middle of the night, haunted
by nightmares of having to give birth again and again.

Shortly before Norman turned into a toddler, Aiden finally convinced
Moon to marry him. After all, he argued, she had to think of her little
boy. Eventually, it was just easier for her to give in.
By now, their house was finally finished, and looking very nice:

Norman turned into a cute little toddler, and now that he was old enough
to be taught skills, Moon finally started to bond with him. Still, Aiden
monopolized much of Norman's life, leaving Moon to her own devices.
She mostly spent her days studying.

Aiden, of course, wanted more children, but Moon really didn't want
to go through all of that again. She secretly began putting herbs and
drugs into Aiden's food, which caused impotence, and also assured that
the few times he did get it up, he would be shooting blanks. The relationship
between them became more and more stained, and arguments became an every-day
occurance.

In the middle of this, Norman grew up into a serious and silent child.
He spent most of his time reading books, and trying to stay as far away
from his parent's fights as possible. Despite all of this, he was very
outgoing, with average neat, active and nice stats. What I never took
pictures of is the fact that he became friends with both Xie and Xanè
Legacy - they were the only 2 kids he brought home from school. This
is what made me start playing both Legacy families side by side.

As the years passed, Moon finally made her first friend: the gardener
who had been coming twice weekly to take care of their lawn was very
nice (not to mention good-looking), and what started out as discussion
about their common interest in plants soon developed into something
more. Moon finally had someone to talk to who understood her interests,
and soon she and Leo were giggling madly over the fact that Moon had
neatly gotten rid of most of Aiden's sexual drive. And, for the first
time in her life, Moon developed an interest in flirting...

... and eventually in more.

Sex with Leo was a revelation: finally someone who took care of *her*
needs first. Now Moon finally understood why people were so obsessed
with sex.

Norman was an intelligent child, and while he wasn't happy with how
his father was always shouting at his mother, he *also* didn't like
the fact that their gardener was hanging around the house whenever his
father was at work. Still, for all that his home life was not perfect,
he managed to grown into an average and mostly happy kid.

Moon eventually learned the draw-back of lots and lots of sex: occasionally,
accident happy... As soon as she began to suspect a pregnancy, she made
sure to skip feeding Aiden the drugs that kept him mostly impotent,
so that in case she *was* pregnant, Aiden wouldn't suspect anything.

The planned worked: when Moon found out she really was pregnant, Aiden
never doubted for a second that it was his. He was overjoyed, and sure
that this baby would only be the first of many more siblings for Norman.
Moon just let him have his dreams...
Much too soon for Moon, it was time to give birth. Ah, yes, she clearly
remembered now why she never had wanted another child, and vowed that
however much fun sex was, it wasn't worth *this*.
This time, she had a girl, which Aiden promptly named Nelly (...poor
child!!). Aiden was, of course, ecstatic, and Norman had heard so much
about the wonderfulness of siblings that he was pretty happy as well.

When he started voicing his desire for more children, Moon first actually
tried to argue him out of it. But he waved all her concerns aside, including
the recommendation Moon's doctor had made: that considering how old
she was now and how difficult her previous 2 births had been, any further
pregnancies were a danger to her health. But Aiden waved that away:
of course pregnancies wouldn't be bad for her, after all, women were
made to have babies.

That was the moment Moon realized that any love or even friendship she'd
ever felt for Aiden was long gone. He was just the other person living
in her house, who kept interfering with her life.

Somewhere in the middle of this, Norman turned into a teenager - poor
kid, most of his looks are directly from his father. He rolled Family.

Of course, Moon had told Leo that Nelly was his daughter, and while
he was distantly interested in her, he didn't do much more than occasionally
look in on her. But apparently even that was too much, because one day,
Aiden walked in on Leo visiting Nelly, and put all the pieces together.

He flew into a mad rage, and actually hit Moon.
And that was the last straw for her: she finally kicked Aiden out of
the house, threatening to call the police and report him for violence
if he refused to leave. The fact that he broke down into sobs didn't
change her mind in the least: it just disgusted her.

Of course, she never thought that he'd tell Norman that he had been
kicked out as well. It hurt to lose Norman, but in the end, she decided
not to try and find them. She just didn't want to chance coming into
contact with Aiden again. Instead, she started to bond with Nelly -
and the first thing she did was to officially rename her to Oasis.

And because I this is the first one I took, here finally is an overview
shot of the finished inside of the house:

Oasis grew into a neat and playful child. Moon taught her to study,
and Oasis turned out to be rather intelligent.

Time seemed to fly, and it was time for Oasis to transition to teenager
(Family again), and for Moon to turn into an elder.
