Ysobel
was still woohooing her way through various NPCs. She had taken to calling
in false 911 emergencies just so she could meet new romantic partners.

Youssef, after a lenghty courtship, finally married Ivy Copur - in a
private ceremony in the dark, thus guaranteeing crappy pictures. *sigh*.
At least this time, he knew what to do during his wedding night...

And because I don't think I've posted good pictures of Xie and Xanè
before, here are the best I have (I seem to have taken nearly no good
facial pictures of Xie. I have no idea why...). They don't like each
other: both always fight over Youssef's attentions, and are always jealous
of each other.

However, very soon after marrying into the family, Ivy was pregnant
- and Youssef was over the moon. Finally, a child that did not have
potentially dubious traits inherited from a criminal mother. Finally,
a child that would be able to become his successor and take over his
- very financially successful - architect empire that he had build up.
He even remodelled the old bedroom his parents had used, and turned
it into a huge nursery:

Xanè didn't understand why her father suddenly didn't want her anymore.
She drew into herself, and only told her woes to her old teddy.

Ivy went into labor in the middle of the night, and gave birth to a
boy, Xôn. To say that Youssef was ecstatic would be an understatement...

Xie and Xanè soon turned into teenagers (Xie: Popularity; Xanè: Fortune),
and Xôn grew into a toddler.

Yes, Xie and Xanè kept not liking each other...

Here's Xôn as a child (sorry, nothing interesting happened during all
these simdays). It was a good thing his mother was a teacher, because
Xôn never really felt like studying, and really needed someone to keep
a close eye on him to make sure he actually did his homework.

Ysobel turned into an elder, and retired from her job. More time to
peruse other sims for woohoo! Really, with her constantly rolling 'have
woohoo in bed' and 'have woohoo in hottub' wants, keeping her platinum
was a breeze: she just invited over old lovers and rekindled the relationships.

Interestingly enough, after turning into an elder, she suddenly grew
quite close to Xanè, and often spent long hours playing chess with her.
And, of course, this was another things Xie could hate Xanè for.

Some years later, it was Youssef's turn to age-transition. After retiring,
he spent a lot of his free time growing closer to his sister. They often
spent the whole afternoon lying in the grass, talking about childhood
memories, or just being quiet together.

Meanwhile, Xie had pestered her mother into giving her enough money
over the years that she could enroll in college. She was rather happy
to leave the house - she no longer was close to anyone.
I'm sending those teenagers that do get to go to university
off after 10 days of teen-dom. 2 semesters of college are counted as
one simday, so together with some time after graduation still spent
at campus, they enter adulthood the same time as non-university sims.
I find that this way of counting university time works best for my games.

And, finally, the last of generation 2 also turned into an elder:

Xanè knew that her father wouldn't splurge money on her as Ysobel had
on Xie. She would have to work hard and attain scholarships if she wanted
to have a chance at a university education. She got a part-time job
in her father's company to show him that she was interested and willing
to work. But Youssef ignored all her efforts - actually, he didn't even
*notice* them. He was much too busy spending time with Xôn. Xanè spent
a lot of time being very frustrated.

But what really incensed her was that her father finally got around
to calling the headmaster of the very prestigious private school in
their neighborhood right after she had graduated from public high school.
Despite the fact that she had begged her father for years to try and
get her a place, he had ignored her totally and instead gotten *Xôn*
- who still didn't get good grades or even enjoy school - the one thing
she had really wanted.

Xôn switched schools just as he grew up into a teenager and entered
high school. Here he is - a new Romance sim (*sigh*):

He soon developed an interest in one of his childhood friends: Oasis
Blossom. Ah, hormones, and the enthusiasm of the young...

After quitting her job as a professor, Ivy had joined Youssef and Ysobel
in spending most of her time relaxing in the garden. But one day, a
tragic accident occurred...

Youssef was absolutely heartbroken - no, more than that. Somehow, Ivy's
tragic death had unhinged him, and he started to become just slightly
unbalanced.

Xanè, however much she might be pissed at her father for neglecting
her, still worried when it was time for her to leave for university.
She could see that he still had a long way to go before he'd get over
the loss of Ivy. So she took her brother to the side and had a long
conversation with him, charging him to take care of Youssef and to make
sure that nothing happened to him. Xôn, tho a lazy bastard, was concerned
as well, and promised that nothing would happen to their father while
Xanè was at uni. For a second, it was almost as if they might start
to like each other - but when Xôn tried to hug Xanè good-bye, she snapped
out of it.

The Legacy Uni Years, Part 1
Finally, I remembered to take a snapshot of her after age-transitioning.
Here is Xie, the fresh young adult, eager to enjoy her years of university.
She immediately enrolled in archaeology - simply because she had heard
that it had the coolest student.

She moved into a small dorm, and soon was in her element: new people
to meet, new friends to make.

However, she didn't forget about her old friends. As she had promised
Norman Blossom, she kept in close contact with him, calling him or emailing
him often, and occasionally inviting him to visit her on campus. They
grew quite close during that time, and Xie actually fell in love for
the first time (she'd always mentally connected "falling in love" with
"screwing around with whoever you meet", thanks to her Romance mother).
They decided to make no promises, but to just keep in contact as they
had been, and to see if the feelings were still there when Xie graduated
and came home to Normalville.

Between studying, Xie discovered a new hobby: music. Specifically, she
found out that she really enjoyed plucking at the electric guitar that
was available in the dorm music room, and after a while, she also discovered
that she loved having other people listen to her, and making them smile
or dance.
And, after one fateful trip to the campus music stage, she discovered
that performing live to a large crowd was not only even more fun, it
even was a chance to make quite a *lot* of money.
A sim with creativity 10 gets only $100 tips. Spending just 2-3 hours
at a community lot will get between 10 and 20 tippers. You do the math.
*g*

She earned so much money that after finishing Sophomore year, she could
easily afford to rent a decent-sized house. She loved having a whole
place for herself where she could tinker around with her guitar. It
gave her the chance to spend what free time she had in Junior year to
actually start writing her own music.

Her grades were steady at 3.7, she had lots of friends, a great hobby,
and lived in a very nice house. Surely her Senior year would be just
as much fun as her Junior year, right? Well... not quite. Because a
few days after returning to campus after a brief summer break, she suddenly
had a visitor: her sister Xanè, who'd just started as a Freshman.
However, it turned out that Xanè wasn't just a *visitor* - no, she demanded
to be allowed to move it. "Not everyone can afford to live in the poshest
dorms, and there is no way to find peace and quiet in the cheap ones.
I'm moving in with you, and if you refuse, I'm going to call Ysobel
and tell her how mean you are to me". They fought for hours, but finally
Xie had to give in - and to give up her music room to make space for
Xanè...

And while this certainly did nothing to endear the girls to each other,
worse was yet to come... because Norman came by for one of his occasional
campus visits, and Xanè found out that Xie and Norman were a couple.
Which doesn't sound that bad, but unbeknowst to both Xie and Norman,
Xanè had had a crush on Norman since they were children. She'd been
hoping to get closer to him once she returned from college, and to find
out so abruptly that all her hopes and dreams would never come true...
Xanè decided that she'd give up on trusting people and believing the
best of them. Instead, fron now on, she'd only trust money. Money didn't
disappoint you, money was faithful.

She soon met other people on campus who were also focussed on success
and building a network of valuable contacts. It only took her a little
while until she, too, was offered membership in their exclusive society.

Finally, Xanè finished her Freshman year (with a GPA of 4.0, of course),
and Xie graduated. Xanè was happy to see her go - Xie had planned a
small trip to some European capitals.

Meanwhile, at the main Legacy lot:
Xôn, once he had tasted the joys romance and woohoo could bring, soon
was no longer satisfied with just one girlfriend. Behind Oasis' back,
he began to woo one of the girls that worked at the downtown supermarket.

He'd also talked his father into letting him take over Xanè's old room,
so that he now had a huge bedroom and a nice big study to call his own:

There, he had the privacy to take his relationship with Oasis further:

And he soon proved to be a typical male: after orgasm, he turned over
and feel deeply asleep. Oasis was young and good-natured enough to find
it cute, and usually just got dressed and tip-toed out.

Ysobel was starting to feel her age (she was, at that time, 77 years
old), and various small health problems all ganged up on her, causing
her to be forced to spend most of her time in bed.

Youssef's small peculiarities had developed into a full-blown obsession
with is wife's death: he would zone out in the middle of doing something,
and suddenly break down in a fresh wave of tears. And sooner or later,
a habit like that was going to get deadly...
By the time he switched from "oooh, fire pretty!!" to "ARGH! Danger!",
it was too late - he was already on fire...

And when Ysobel finally noticed that something was wrong and pounded
on Xôn's door to get him to help her fight the fire, Youssef had already
burned to death. They just barely managed to keep the fire from spreading
to the rest of the house. Xôn was horrified to lose another parent to
such a tragic accident.

Xie got the message while she was already at the airport, waiting for
her flight, and Xanè was pulled aside as soon as she finished her Freshman
year final, and both were told to come home immediately. Youssef's death
hit them both hard.

But while Xie understood that such things happen, Xanè was full of anger
- and found a convenient target. Hadn't she *told* Xôn to take care
of their father? And hadn't Xôn *promised*? Clearly, he was an even
worse slacker than she had thought. She attacked him violently, and
developed a deep and enduring hatred of him. Wasn't it enough that he
had stolen her father's affections when he was born? Did he really have
to take any chance of winning her father's approval away from her?
It was decided that Xanè would go back to university and finish her
degree. Until then, Xie would stay at the house to look after Ysobel
and Xôn, and to take care of the day-to-day runnings of Youssef's business
empire. Although Xôn had officially inherited it, Xanè, as his new legal
guardian, was the one who make the executive decisions. She kept in
close contact with the business via email and teleconferencing.
Xie invited Norman over to explain what had happened, and that she would
have to take care of her family for another 3 years, putting her and
Norman's dreams below her obligations for her family. Norman agreed
that taking care of her family was more important - but he also finally
convinced her that starting a physical relationship now would be a good
test to see how compatible they were physically. And they turned out
to be *very* compatible...

The Legacy Uni Years, Part 2
After moving back to campus, Xanè decided to convert Xie's old room
in their university house into two smaller rooms and a bathroom, and
rented it out to students, to make some money on the side. BTW, she
was majoring in Marketing.

Nothing at all interesting happened during the rest of her time at university:
she spent most of her time studying, making sure she graduated with
a straight 4.0 GPA. After her age-transition, she moved back to Normalville.

Back to the main Legacy lot:
As soon as Xanè returned home, she officially took over leadership of
the business empire that had grown out of Youssef's architect office
and real estate deals (ie, got a job in the business career at CEO level).
She and Xie started to fight pretty much constantly over nearly every
decision Xie had made in Xanè's absence or without first getting Xanè's
approval. They only let up when they were around Ysobel, because it
was clear that old age would soon catch up with her, and they both knew
that she wanted them to get along.

Only half a day after Xanè returned home, Ysobel succumbed to old age.
However, she seemed rather happy to go to ... well, wherever she was
headed.

Xanè seemed to have inherited a bit of her father's tendency to become
somewhat unbalanced, because after Ysobel's death, she went slightly
nuts and her fights with Xie suddenly got physically violent.
Xie refused to sink to such lows, and simply packed her stuff and left.
After all, she and Norman had been waiting for quite some time to finally
start their own relationship.

And then I realized that there was something I had forgotten... namely
that Xanè hated Xôn, and that thus Xôn also had a negative relationship
with her. And, if a teenage sim's relationships with everyone in the
house are at -20 or lower... they run away. Ups. And, since it was totally
unexpected, I wasn't even fast enough to get pictures...
However, Xanè immediately called the police and posted a Missing Person
alert. Xôn's act of rebellion was totally unplanned, and thus the police
were quick to catch him, and nice Officer named Ramin came and brought
him home.
And I will admit that yes, at this point I cheated and
raised his relationship to Xanè to something slightly positive. She
still hates him, but he just doesn't care one way or another, and that
keeps him at home.

Now that Xie had left, Xanè took over both her parents and Xie's old
bedrooms and created her own bedroom-office suite:

She was rather surprised to find Officer Ramin ringing her doorbell
at least once a week in the evening, just "for a quick look if everything's
ok here". At first she was suspicious, but Ramin was really very nice...

Nice enough to finally convince her that maybe, just maybe, romance
might be something that she could give another try.

So, for now, let's leave the Legacy family with Xanè dreaming of Ramin,
and Xôn dreaming of his next love conquest...

I don't
think I've mentioned it anywhere, but unless something unexpected happens,
Xanè will be the Gen 3 heir, because 1. her mother was an NPC, and 2.
she's not a Romance sim.
