The
first generation, Hermtraud and Herman. In their home village, somewhere
high in the alps, Hermtraud was the daughter of the local mayor, and
Herman was just a poor but honest worker. They fell madly in love, but
since Hermtraud's father was against their union, they ran away and
hid somewhere high up on a mountain-top, where noone would ever find
them.

In the beginning, it was hard. They had to build the cabin themselves,
and they had hardly any money. At first, it was extremely bare, they
didn't even have windows.

(note: since there's no farming in the game, I decided to let the easel
stand it for farmwork. I built the lot and house as far as I got with
the 20.000 you get at the start, and from then on, they had to earn
money by painting. I simply pretended that whenever they were painting,
they were in reality working on building their furniture or growing
their food. It works out pretty well)
Yes, living conditions were hard, but Hermtraud's love for Herman kept
her happy.
Eventually, all their passionate lovemaking had the usual results. Herman
made sure that Hermtraud got a lot of time to relax and take it easy,
and during that time, she discovered the beauty of living close to nature,
bathing in cold mountain lakes, and relaxing in the shade of old fir
trees:

Their first child, Joachim, was soon followed by another, Bernadette
(I'm not quite sure *what* Herman thought when she was born, but he
did love her just as much as he loved Joachim).
However, eventually tragedy struck while Hermtraud was cloud watching
on the lawn in front of their home (I wasn't fast enough with the camera,
but she got hit by a falling satellite. I then immediately killed Herman
off as well - he was probably hit be additional debris while trying
to rescue her)

This left the kids alone: Joachim as a child, and Bernadette one day
away from turning into a kid as well. Thankfully she was close, she
would have starved to death otherwise. As it was, she only had to nibble
on her own hand for a bit before her age-transition. It also seems like
Bernadette discovered Yoga while still a toddler (maybe
the evil bunny-head in the background gave her the secret?):

Joachim and Bernadette still managed to grow up reasonably well, feeding
themselves with the child oven:

But they're teenagers now, full of hormones, and have been alone since
long before someone could teach them of morals or taboos. Whatever are
they going to do to keep themselves entertained at night...
BTW, here's what their house looks like now. Pretty nice, considering
that they only earned money by selling paintings built
all of it themselves:
