While
I was retaking screenshots for the edited version of the Normalville
Storyline, I always used the InSimenator to impregnate sims for the
new screenshots, and usually then sped up the pregnancy and let the
child(ren) be born, mostly out of curiosity to see with what different
sims I could have ended up playing.
When I mentioned this in a post, a reader (my_sims_reality
on LJ) asked to see them, so I started posting them, and so I'm now
including them here as well.
I am now strongly considering getting the prettier/interesting ones
back into the main version of the neighborhood - I could always turn
them into townies. That way, I'd not have to start breeding Maxis genes
in once the neighborhood gets too inbred, but rather I could ensure
that some of the distinct facial features remain in the gene pool. Mind
you, that's quite a bit in the future, but still, it's good to have
plans. *g*
Logistically,
I used S'tae, who'd been parked on an empty lot next to her crashed
spaceship, and with Inge's Teleport Plus shrub moved in each of the
alternative kids, grew them to teen hood, and then gave them makeovers
in the mirror (so forgive the occasional Maxis!Clothes fashion victim).
Here's the first 19 of them standing around the shrub, and a picture
of all 26 of them (so far...), interacting with each other:
Alternative Janet Normals:
I only needed one pregnancy to take pictures of Jane Normal pregnant
with her 3 kids, and the result was another girl, Alt!Janet. Her facial
features are nearly identical to the real Janet, but she ended up with
a different skintone (paler and asian-ish), and with different eyebrows,
some make-up (which real Janet would never wear) and a different hair-do,
she's damn pretty. Chances of her ending up re-introduced into my main
game eventually: high.
Alternate John Normals/S'tae Alien offspring:
At the time of birth, I went with quadruplets (I have TwoJeffs Triplets&Quads
mod), out of curiosity how they'd turn out. They're the first kids I
speed-aged to teen hood (with the InSim), and who spawned the idea of
checking out the alternative kids.
K'vaj: err. Nope, not much chance of ever getting out of backup-neighborhood-purgatory.
If it was just the slanted eyes, or just the triangular chin, maybe,
but as it is... no. Which is a pity, he's very nice and has good stats.
K'ram & K'dat: they have nearly identical faces, and quite nice
ones at that. I added too much make-up to both, but oh well... Not sure
I'd introduce them into the main neighborhood, but maybe.
S'iwe: oh, my, hello, cutie. Yes, too much eye make-up, but she really
got the best of both parents. Definitely someone I'm importing somehow.
Normals:
Alt!JohnIII: not too different from the real version, although with
a not-too-flattering skintone. The long hair looks good on him.
Everyman:
Alt!WilliRose and Alt!JaneRose: I quite like the alternative JaneRose,
who grew into a punk teen outfit, so I gave her more outlandish makeup.
Alt!Willifred Rose turned out to be a Will. Nothing too exciting, and
again a very unflattering skintone. I should just hunt that one down
and take it out of the game.
Native:
Girl 1, 2 and 3: for some reason, I checked what the kids of Fortuna
Strict and Tamak Native would have been like. I am *very* taken with
the resulting girls - especially the 2 pale-skinned ones look wonderfully
Mediterranean. It would be a shame not to use them somehow (*resists
temptation to create Italian or Mafia family*)
Girl 4 and Boy 1 and 2 are what Melihet could have been instead. Girl
4 looks like a less friendly and more haughty version of her, and Boy
1 is a boring male alternative. Boy 2 is somewhat interesting, tho -
but that's probably mainly the skintone combined with the hair.
And an alternative son of Tamak and K'nat - gah, it's Michael Jackson!
EWW!! Ok, I'm happy with how Rissen and Manilat turned out, if that
is what I could have gotten instead!
Cheater:
here's an alternative Geraldine, who instead of taking after her mother
totally came out like her father (and yes, that was Adam, in case the
in-story hint wasn't enough *g*). Boy, am I happy with the real Geraldine!
Strict:
Potential!Son, Alt!Charlotte, Alt!Melanie: The potential son of Charles
and Melihet is nothing to write home about, he's just a dark-haired
copy of his father and uncle. But their alternative daughters I quite
like, especially the alternative Charlotte. Poor real!Charlotte - you
could have been so much prettier. (*resists temptation to put Alt!Charlotte
into a Greek family, or add her to the non-existing Italian or Mafia
one*) Alt!Melanie would need a different skintone, the one she has makes
her face look dirty. Hmm, maybe another one I should get rid of.
Fortune:
If Donald Cheater and Su Ming had had a boy, this is what he might have
looked like. Without the eye-makeup giving him an Asian look, he just
screams "I'm a hot Italian teen for all these Italian/Mafia
girls". Me like!

There
will be one more batch of alternative kids: one Nordic kid, 2 or 3 Breeder
alternatives, and then a large group of alternative alien offspring.

BTW, anyone who wants a copy of one of my sims, just ask, I can package
them up and send them.
