The
Cheaters are Evie and Baldwin, a married couple, and Adam, Baldwin's
brother. Baldwin has a decent career as a minor sports star, while Evie
quit her job to become a stay-at-home mom after her marriage. Adam ...
Adam has various jobs, usually ones that let him sleep until noon.

Baldwin and Evie are parents of twins: Charles and Donald. They're bright
boys, both showing great promise, and mostly taken after their mother
(who gave up on a quite promising business career when she had them).

And while this may sound like a very nice, average family, the reality
isn't quite as happy. Because it was Adam Evie had fallen in love with
when she first met the brothers, but she'd been practical enough to
realize that Adam was not someone who married and stayed faithful to
one woman. Although she may have underestimated herself there, because
after all these years, Adam still wanted her. And now that her husband
was often on tour with his team, and the kids were in school all day,
she was lonely, and housework was not enough to occupy her mind. And
Adam was there, pursuing her...

Evie felt horribly guilty about cheating on Baldwin, and even more guilty
when soon afterwards, she found herself pregnant and unsure as to who
the father was. She never managed to really bond with the resulting
girl - who she named Geraldine - and it was mostly Donald and Charles
who raised her.

The situation with Adam sharing their home became more and more difficult
- he kept bringing home women, but hated to see Evie and Baldwin interact
romantically. Eventually, he met a dark-skinned and nubile young girl
named Anahata Native, who talked him into moving away from Normalville
with her. Secretly, Evie was glad, as she'd been seeing more and more
facial similarities between him and Geraldine.

Thankfully, Geraldine took after her mother character-wise, growing
into a clever young girl who excelled at school.

Meanwhile, Charles and Donald reached adulthood, and both started working
on their careers: Charles left to study medicine, and Donald entered
the political world.
