Su
Ming Fortune came to Normalville to - well, make a fortune. Her parents
had been poor immigrants, and Su Ming had learned to value the many
things money could buy. With her savings from various teenage jobs,
she bought a beautiful little house and started applying for jobs. She
knew that she had above-average business skills, and wanted to start
working her way up the ladder of success as far away from her humble
beginnings as possible.

She did not mind being lonely - love affairs could be such distractions
- but she was happy to make the acquaintance of Donald Cheater. He was
so nice and charming!

Quickly, romance blossomed between them, and initially, they found themselves
to be quite compatible, especially in the bedroom.

However, once the first flames of lust died down, they realized that
they had very little in common - Donald, as a politician, wanted a wife
that would create a stress-free home for him to come to in the evenings,
while all Su Ming wanted was to focus on her own career. And so they
decided to end the romance before it could turn sour - and Su Ming never
had any contact with Donald ever again, even though she found herself
pregnant just a few weeks after their separation. She liked the idea
of having a child of her own to be *her* heir, and hers alone.

She gave birth to a little girl that she named Su Wan, and immediately
went back to her job. Thanks to her long conversations with Donald,
who had a lot of experience with public relations thanks to his political
career, she had learned that her personal style was maybe *too* exotic
for Normalville. So Su Ming made sure to tone down the expression of
her parent's nationality (and she'd been raised to be fiercely proud
of it), and indeed found that she now found it much easier in the business
world.

... although her exotic looks did still stir the imaginations of some
of the local teenage boys, especially Derek, her paper boy. She had
to eventually get a restraining order against him when she found out
about his voyeuristic obsession with her.

Su Wan grew up into a fine girl, as intelligent and focussed on success
- and as beautiful - as her mother.

And Su Ming soon found herself reaching the highest levels of success
in the business world.
