Normalville - 02

I'm doing my best to put everything into something resembling chronological order, with some shuffling to make the storylines read better. Click on the family name to get to the family-only summaries.

This week's objective was to get everyone paired up, have them have kids, and get the kids to child level so they can start interacting and I can see how they like each other and start to plan who's going to pair up in their generation.

I didn't play with the Normal or the Fortune family at all, since all their kids were already at child age last week.

The Alien Twins

When we last saw them, I only said that I had moved them out to their own place. Here are screenshots of their little house:

K'nat immediately started flirting with anything female that passed the house. First he met up with Melihet, who just had her heart broken by Billy Everyman (she'd fallen in love with him, unknowing that he already had a pregnant wife at home).

Seems like she's over the shock, and likes K'nat enough to let him take her virginity (it would have been interesting to see her get pregnant from him, but she didn't the 2 times they had sex, and I didn't want it enough to keep trying).

After Melihet went home, he noticed Tamak Native passing by. Since I didn't have any plans for her (if you remember last week, I had plans for her that became obsolete when Fortuna Strict died), I decided to make her K'Nat's next conquest. After all, we can't have that nice blue skintone die out after this generation already!

Hm... do you think Heltvar is precognitive?

Let's find out!

(we'll be back for S'rul and her storyline a bit later)

The Native Family

Tamak has a novelty house: I wanted to build one where the rooms were on top of each other. I'm generally not fond of playing with more than 2 levels (because it's hard to keep track where everyone is), but wanted to try it once with a single sim.

You can see her brother Sowate's grave at the bottom level. It's also a very airy home, three sides are totally made up of windows, and the front door is just an open arch.

The top floor is an especially nice place for cuddling and woohoo:

And we all know what happens after you woohoo a couple of times:

I wish I had known that the fact that a sim will have twins is determined at conception time, and not just before birth (as genetics are), because then I'd have reloaded to get a blue skinned kid. As it is, Tamak bore K'nat 2 sons: Manilat, who's dark-skinned and has his father's pure-black eyes, and Rissen, who's white skinned like K'nat's human father, but who has K'nat's facial structure. And boy, does that facial structure look weird on a white kid! Thankfully, there's a haircut that covers most of it (the weirdness is in the very high eye-brow arcs).

Both of them did get their father's facial markings, tho:

Tamak was rather stressed by trying to bring up two kids on her own (of course K'nat didn't give a damn, he was off flirting with other ladies). Since she isn't very neat, either, she started taking care of hygiene by washing herself and the sink...

Now it's time to introduce a new family: the Trash family

I have no clue what I planned when I created them, but when I noticed their house in the lot bin, I got an idea what I could use them for, so I imported them into this neighborhood.

The woman is Lally, and I've forgotten what the guy she's with was called. The punk-haircut girl is Lola, Lally's daughter from an earlier boyfriend, and the kid Lola is holding is Mali, Lally's child from the blond guy. The other 4 kids are foster kids that boyfriend brought with him.

Since I didn't need boyfriend or the foster kids, I moved him out, and then only got Lally a job as a dishwasher and let the family run for 3 days without interfering. As I had hoped, Social Services came to take all the kids away.

And that was what I needed, because I wanted Lola to *hate* her mother, for being so horrible that her little sister, who Lola loved madly, was taken a way. She hated her so much that she soon ran away from home, and fell in with really bad people.

Now that we've established that, let's continue with some of the already existing families.

The Strict Family

Before I forget, here are the overview images of the Strict home. On the first floor, you can still see the room where Fortuna was locked in for the rest of her life. Melihet lived nearly exclusively on the top floor after she turned into a kid.

As we start, the family consists only of Melihet, who's now had bad luck with men twice in a row. And then there are the ghosts of her mother, and of her grandparents. We've seen pictures of her mother and grandmother's ghosts last week, but here's one of her grandfather, who still hangs around his beloved chessboard even tho he's dead:

Will Melihet ever find true love?

Well, she did remember Charles Cheater, who she had flirted and made out with when they were both teenagers. On a whim, she gave him a call and invited him over. Who knows, maybe some spark of their adolescent crush was still there...

certainly looks like there's still feelings:

but does he have a firm ass?

Yes! Melihet definitely thinks that this guy would do wonderful as a husband.

Promptly, she proposes!

And they get married! But... what's this? Charles married her just for her money??? Oh no... Poor Melihet. Well, as long as he treats her will and she doesn't find out...

They invited a lot of people to their wedding, and everyone was having a great party... except for Billy Everyman, who seems rather pissed that Melihet objected to him being already married. So he just spent all his time alone in the hottub, sulking.

The wedding night was ... eventful. First, Melisa came out and stared at the couple in disgust. Such open displays of affection, on *her* old bed.

Then, once they got around to sex, both Billy and K'nat ran in, complaining about Melihet cheating on them! The nerve!

After that, Billy left, but K'nat stayed for a bit, watching the sex. He's such a perv.

Melihet seems to think that sex with K'nat certainly was better than what she just experienced. Well, what did she expect, Charles actually went into the marriage as a virgin, after all.

Eventually, the ghosts got too much for them, and they moved their urns out into the garden, where they turned into gravestones, and planted some flowers. The ghosts still haunt, but now they do it mostly outside.

When Charles moved into Melihet's house, he brought his little sister Geraldine with him, because the Cheater home was getting too crowded. She wasn't very happy at first (she loved her other brother, Donald, but Charles and she were never fond of each other), but at least she got the top floor all for herself. However, moving to the Strict home was a stroke of luck for her, because she met Lola.

Geraldine and Lola really are very different, but they still fell madly in love:

Meanwhile, Melihet and Charles had their first daughter, Charlotte, and Geraldine was more than happy to take over a big share of caring for her:

Charlotte was the amazing barfing baby. Really, every time someone 'played' with her, she threw up on them.

She also grew into the ugliest toddler I've had in my game so far. Her mouth starts directly beneath her nose, she has no upper lip at all! Poor kid...

She didn't get any better-looking when she turned into a child:

Charles kept rising in the medical career, and since Geraldine has the knowledge aspiration and wasn't sure if she should take a medical or a science career, Charles started instructing her on the practice dummy:

Things got somewhat confusing:

and then the simulated patient flatlined! No matter what Geraldine tried, it was hopeless.

She got a job in the science track the very next day.

She's also rather squicked by heterosexual displays of affection:

(I always planned her as a lesbian. I just had no clue who to pair her with until I remembered the Trash family. Lucky for Geraldine, Lola was very very compatible with her)

Melihet and Charles eventually had a second daughter, Melanie, who thankfully was much nicer-looking. Their room is the very room their grandmother was locked in for life, but it's been remodeled completely, and Fortuna has never been a ghost who goes after scaring people, anyway.

She's also the near total opposite of Charlotte. Charlotte is extremely neat, shy, active, serious and nice. Melanie is extremely sloppy, outgoing, lazy, playful and nice. Charlotte is white skinned with black hair, Melanie is dark skinned with blonde hair.

By the time both girls where kids, Geraldine had turned into an adult. She got a haircut, and then moved out to her own place:

Let's follow her... but for that, we have to take a look at what happened after Lola Trash ran away from home.

So, on to the Trash family.

After Lola ran away from home, Lally was totally depressed - and utter failure in the light of her family aspiration. It got so bad that she got fired from her dish-washing job, and since she knew noone, soon she started hallucinating - or did she? Or is that pink bunny part of a much darker evil?

Here we see it whispering dark secrets into her ear...

...paralyzing her on the spot even while danger lurks behind her...

...and then, as the flames spring up and began to engulf Lally, it *laughes*!

While Lally screams in pain, it starts doing a primitive worship dance!

Lally has no chance, and all Death eventually finds are her ashes, next to a copy of the bunnynomicon:

So he calls in another case of a poor, sad soul that had been taken in by the evil bunny and sacrificed to fuel their perverted gods:

Death was so depressed that he mindlessly watched Daytime TV for several hours before he left:

Not long after Lally's death, police finally found Lola and brought her home. If you look closely, you can see that she's smiling, glad that the mother she hated so much is now dead:

Horrified at the condition the lower part of the house is in, she moves everything useful upstairs. Because she had hardly any money left, she couldn't even afford to get a fridge, she mostly ate at school, and every two or three days had a pizza. It's all she had money for - by the time I was done playing with her, all she had left was $2.

She also went back to school, trying to salvage what she could. She wanted to turn into someone who was worthy of Geraldine, after all. She never had anyone to teach her how to do homework fast, so it was hard. I did manage to get her from F to B+, tho.

She really really resented the horrible childhood she'd had with Lally as her mother, so she actually smashed Lally's urn (by herself. I only saw what she had done when it was too late to stop it).

Lally's ghost was very very distraught over it:

Lola managed to make it to adult just in time as her money ran out:

Yes, that's a scar on her cheek.

After that picture was taken, she let her hair grow out, and got more decent clothes, thanks to 'kaching'.

So, let's see what'll happen when Geraldine and Lola meet again as adults, in the CheaterTrash household:

Will they still love each other?

Certainly looks like the magic is still there:

Geraldine, impressed with how Lola has managed to sort out her problems, immediately proposes, and they get married in a private ceremony on their lawn:

Here's images of the house they now live in:

They have lots of lesbian sex everywhere:

Madly in love, Geraldine has an idea how to make Lola really really happy: she proposes to adopt a child - Mali, Lola's little sister who was taken away by Social Services! Lola really is ecstatic, and as soon as Mali arrives, she begins to do her best to make sure Mali learns all the things that she never got at the orphanage.

Not story-related, but it's extremely cute to see toddlers fishing a toy out of the toy box:

While Lola is totally happy with how things are, Geraldine isn't quite completely satisfied. She's irked that the only choice lesbian couples have is adoption. And she *is* a scientist, who had some medical training in her youth. Will she find a solution? She's certainly working on it...

Tangent: Their male maid, Remington, is the gayest thing ever:

Now let's finally go back to the Alien house and check out what happens with S'rul.

John Normal never contacted his kids after he ran out immediately after their birth, but S'rul apparently kept memories of the few seconds during which he held her, because his death took her so hard that she was completely useless for several days.

But then her childhood friend, Donald Cheater, comes for a visit, and that perks her up quite a bit:

Things progress quickly:

K'nat thinks that it's about time his sister starts having sex (I think he even gave a thumbs-up). Then he stayed and watched, so he could give her helpful pointers later (told you he's a perv):

Aliens are amazingly fertile, apparently:

On to the Cheater household:

Donald was a bit conflicted what to do with a girlfriend who's not only pregnant, but also *blue*. He is on the political career track, after all... but in the end, he decides to do the right thing:

Then throw a nice wedding party, even if they can only invite close members of the immediate family:

Soon afterwards, S'rul, helped by her mother-in-law Evie, goes into labor.

Donald is ecstatically happy that it's a normal-looking girl that they name Daniela.

He's come up with a story about a wife who's got some kind of exotic disease, and the medicamentation for this turns her skin blue (I remember reading about meds who *can* turn someone's skin either blue or green, but it was about 15 years ago, so I'm blanking on details), but he'd been really worried about what the kid will look like.

Now, reassured, he and S'rul have another kid, again a daughter. This one they call Evelynn.

Soon afterwards, S'rul is worshipping the porcelain god again. I also absolutely love the look on female sim's faces when their belly starts showing:

And it's another normal girl, who'll end up with the name Felicitas.

But.. what's this? Twins?! S'rul is very pleased with the second girl, who she promptly names S'nur.

Donald's reaction? Can be summed up in the work "Fuck!".

Somewhere in there, Baldwin turned into an elder, btw. (Not Evie, tho. I like her enough that I made her drink 3 doses of Elixir of Life).

I didn't play them further this week, but here's images of the house they all live in:

Now let's move to the Everyman family.

When we last saw them, Billy had been caught cheating on his wife Janet, who took their daughter Jane Rose and moved out.

What I didn't mention is that they have a second daughter, who was completely unplanned (basically, Janet and Jane Rose got stuck, and I had to delete them. When they came back, Janet was back in pregnant clothes, even tho she wasn't pregnant. I could only get her out of them by making her pregnant again.) So I decided that Janet just hadn't had the resources to take a newborn with her when she moved out, and that later, Billy had refused her any contact with her younger daughter - Willifred Rose, btw - out of spite. Even tho he isn't fond of her, either, and has the nanny over all the time to look after her.

This is Willifred Rose, grown to child.

And this is Willifred Rose and her older sister Jane Rose, the one time Willifred dared to invite her over:

Somewhen during Willifred Rose's toddlerhood, Billy was so stressed that he forgot to pay the bills, and the Repo man came. And boy, does he have *fun* with that phallic gun of his. There are so many dirty comments I could make... he looks downright orgasmic!

Eventually, Billy needed a new wife. So I created one for him, a Fortune sim named Sally Sad.

He quickly wooed her, and married her. She was so young, so innocent, so happy...

At first, she did her best to become friends with Willifred Rose:

But then she got pregnant, and had a daughter, called - very creatively - Sally Rose. Poor Sally Rose had a nose like a pig...

Willifred Rose was totally ignored, and her only friend was -- the Nanny:

Billy, who really only wanted an heir from Sally, and thus had not been happy with Sally Rose, soon got Sally pregnant again. Coping with a toddler, another pregnancy, and the constant frustration of not being able to work and earn money was hard on Sally...

Completely not story-related, but weird: The Everymans had a fart living in their diningroom for over a day. It just hovered over the chair, moving a bit, but never dissipating.

Finally, Sally had little Will, the son Billy had so desperately wanted (you can see Willifred Rose in the background, looking sad, because she *knows* she'll get even less attention from now on):

Willifred Rose cried out her sorrows on her nanny's shoulder:

As a teen, she spent most of her days in her room, daydreaming about the people she meets online:

Sally Rose apparently has supernatural powers. The following happened twice, the first time I was too stunned to do anything, the second time I did take pictures, but was too dumb to think of taking a movie clip. What happened was that Sally Rose wanted to play with the purple bunny head thing, but it was positioned wrong. So she started yelling, *AND THE BUNNY HEAD TURNED 90° ON HIS OWN*.

Then she worshipped in front of it.

Will Sally Rose show other signs of supernatural powers? Is it her, or do the powers come from the bunny head? Is it really a toy, or is it a cleverly disguised idol from the dark bunny gods?

So far, she looks normal, if still slightly pig-nosed:

And here's Will as a toddler, already in very expensive clothes - Billy pampers him shamelessly. Also, Billy turned into an elder 2 days after Will was born:

And then at last we have the Nordic family.

This is their home, after they remodelled it for all their kids (one bathroom for 7 people? not a good idea):

There's always a lot going on at their house, because their kids constantly bring home new friends from school.

Having babies has gotten so routine that Heltvar doesn't even get out of the tub anymore even if Gunnhildr gives birth right next to him:

They ended up with 4 boys and one girl. The boys looked so alike, I had to put them in color-coordinated clothing to be able to tell them apart. They are:

Holgar Sven (the dumb-looking one): he's got the family aspiration, and he'll probably become an Athletic sim like his father.

Gunnar (the normal-looking one): he kept painting and painting and raising his creativity, so I decided he wanted to be a popularity sim, since maxing their creativity is one of their aspiration wants. No clue yet what job he'll have.

Siegwulf (the one with the pinched mouth) grew up into a fortune sim:

Hildver (the gay one who insisted on wearing his sister's clothes and then was upset when they fit her better) - well, I'm certain he'll have fun as a romance sim once he grows up.

Svertgart (the girl) will become a knowledge sim, simply because once I'd given each of the boys a different aspiration, I thought I'd give her the one that's still left.

A big, happy family... until the day Gunnhildr decided that she wanted to be the family mechanic.

After two close calls, you'd think she'd learn, but...

The whole family was devastated:

The whole family? Hang on... aren't we missing someone? Where's Siegwulf? That cold-hearted bastard!

The family keeps Gunnhildr's ashes next to the computer that defeated her:

That's it for now. Come back next week for more!
