Normalville - 05

I'm doing my best to put everything into something resembling chronological order, with some shuffling to make the storylines read better. Click on the family name to get to the family-only summaries.

Warning: There's still some questionable content (and I'm also playing with the teen woohoo patch and the patch that makes the standard skins into realistic ones).

I didn't get too much actual playing done this week - I had a rather stressful week, and most of the playing I did do was either to set-up interesting things now that everyone in the neighborhood is at teenage level, or play with a new project: my own twisted version of the Legacy challenge.

Families I've not played this week are: Alien, Native, Everyman, Normals, BreederOld, BreederEldest, ImmaculateHeart, Nordic, NormalAlien..

In the Cheater Household, Baldwin got taken by death, but it was a happy death:

Shortly afterwards, the family moved to a new home. It looks small from the outside, but it's quite roomy. The master bedroom with attached bath is in the upper left, the 3 normal-skinned girls share a bedroom, study and bath in the upper right, S'nur has her own room in the lower right, and shares a bath with Evie, who's room is on the lower left. The pools is mostly used by Felicitas, who works out a lot because she wants to be in the military.

Here's pictures of all the girls at teenage-level: Daniela (who wants to follow her father into politics), Evelynn (poor girl got her mother's nose), Felicitas and S'nur:

Evelynn, who is a romance sim, has already started to flirt with everything male that passes by:

She also loves sneaking out at night - and here's something I've never seen before: Donald was sitting in the living-room playing piano as she snuck out, and he actually ran after her, yelling "Where do you think you're going". But then he just stood there and watched the car drive off...

Donald, btw, has worked his way up to senator, and considering that he's got 5 days of adulthood left, should have no problem reaching Mayor. Oh, and Evie has turned into an elder by now. She's apparently made peace with the fact that I keep taking snapshots of everything:

This week, I actually remembered to take a few more pictures of the Fortune family:

Here's Su Wan, just before and just after growing up:

She's generally very serious, and already focussed on inheriting her mother's business. She's generally nice, but she can get quite annoyed if someone is being stupid or slow:

Su Ming reached the top of the business career easily. But that helicopter is quite annoying (as are the invisible friends she keeps bringing home):

In the Breeder family, with Jebediah dead, Tobias has pretty much taken over as head of family. He was never very fond of his father's 2nd wife, so all she can do is keep her mouth shut and keep cleaning the house.

Tobias also continues to be a total perv. Here he's trying to watch his sister peeing:

Since he's on the political track, and wants to rise fast and high, he decided to make the moves on Donald's oldest daughter (he and Donald are on the opposite side of the political spectrum in Simville, so the idea of snatching up Donald's eldest is extra sweet). He's also starting while she's still a teen, still young and impressionable...

Mind you, it's quite a sacrifice for him, he really really doesn't like her (she's not related to him after all...)

But he slowly works his way up to actually smooch-age:

He also keeps taunting his half-sisters - here he is making fun of Rebah because she has absolutely now friends.

Esther and Ezekiel grew into adults, and Adah and Rebah grew into teenagers (Adah is a romance sim - uh-uh, that's going to go over *so* well in this family... - and Rebah is completely shy and a family sim):

Esther and Ezekiel have finally reached adult-hood, and the first thing they did was move into their own home: the BreederTwins home.

Esther has mellowed enough that she's now wearing her hair open. She's on the culinary track, because as a female, she was never taught much apart from cooking and cleaning. She's hoping for a nice husband.

Ezekiel has started to rise on the Law Enforcement track. He considers it his duty to look after his sister and put her happiness before his. After all, noone else in their family really gives a damn about her: his mother is off who-knows-where shagging who-knows-who, his older brother would probably just want to shag her, is younger brother is a sociopath, his younger sisters are being treated like house-elves, and they're completely estranged from their older sisters.

However, that doesn't mean he can't get distracted, especially if it's by a girl as good-looking as Svertgart:

Especially since Svertgart, who's inherited her parents passionate nature, really really wants him as her first lover, and is thus going after him rather aggressively:

He actually fell for her ruse that she wanted to cuddle in his room and talk about the weather, and in the middle of conversation, Svertgart just grabbed him and started snogging his like mad.

Things progressed quickly. Svertgart was very very happy:

Ezekiel was a bit shocked with himself. To take such advantage of a young girl! He's now determined to keep things platonic - especially since he can't marry until his sister has found someone. Will this decision stand a chance in the face of Svertgart's passion? We'll find out eventually...

Taking a quick peek at the Strict family, we see that Melanie is partying hard. She's also decided she wants John III Normals - after all, he's the most sought-after male of her generation, and she is the best-looking female. It'd be a match made in heaven.

Even if his dancing is stuck on a rather childish level:

Melanie decided to stop dancing and just dragged him off to the hottub of luuuuuv:

In the CheaterTrash home, the 2 late-born twins have reached child level (I still don't know if they'll hook up with this generation or the next one. Probably the next one...). Leni is all outgoing and athletic, while Henrietta goes after Geraldine and is much more interested in books and knowledge:

And to try and balance the male:female ratio a bit, I created one new family. I don't really want to play with them too often, but they'll make spouses for some of the women. Also, I wanted to furnish a really really big house for once... so, the FilthyRich family:

Newman is an extremely talented scientist. He's also nice, in a rather distracted way. He's really only interested in science, and often forgets that a world outside of his lab exists.

Kymberly, who's not yet faced up to the fact that she's getting a bit old for the way she dresses and makes up her face. She's a romance sim, who married Newman for his money. Her more carnal needs she satisfies discreetly (more or less) on the side.

The eldest son, Bernard, is a Fortune sim who just wants money. And maybe a prestige wife on the side (it'd save money, not having to pay prostitutes):

Brett, the 2nd son. Already on the slacker career path, because he spends his time on women. He'll never need to pay for them, it's much more likely women would pay to get *him*.

The youngest, Alfred, seems to go after his father, mostly focussing all his time on learning. However, he is less interested in gadgets, like his father, and much more taken by the notion of aliens and the paranormal...

And here's their huge house:

And now for something completely different:

The Legacy challenge (if I understood it correctly) means that you take a couple, put it on a 5x5 lot, and then try to keep the family going for 10 generations, and you may only marry NPCs/Townies.

That alone wouldn't have interested me, but I decided I wanted to try a rather twisted take on it: 2 sims. Alone on a mountain-top, never allowed to interact with anyone at all. And then try to keep the family going for 10 generations anyway. Yes, that means incest.

To allow this, I used 'moveobjects on' to put the mailbox on a non-even bit of ground (that means that bills don't get delivered). I'm also playing with AlwaysFilledFridge, because they aren't allowed to go to a community lot to buy food, or order it, and NoSocialWorker, because of course none of the kids will ever go to school. I'm using SimPE once every generation to allow siblings to intermarry. If I get through 10 generations, I'll let them join the rest of the neighborhood.

If you haven't run away screaming by now, here's what I've done with this idea so far:

The first generation, Hermtraud and Herman. In their home village, somewhere high in the alps, Hermtraud was the daughter of the local mayor, and Herman was just a poor but honest worker. They fell madly in love, but since Hermtraud's father was against their union, they ran away and hid somewhere high up on a mountain-top, where noone would ever find them.

In the beginning, it was hard. They had to build the cabin themselves, and they had hardly any money. At first, it was extremely bare, they didn't even have windows.

(note: since there's no farming in the game, I decided to let the easel stand it for farmwork. I built the lot and house as far as I got with the 20.000 you get at the start, and from then on, they had to earn money by painting. I simply pretended that whenever they were painting, they were in reality working on building their furniture or growing their food. It works out pretty well)

Yes, living conditions were hard, but Hermtraud's love for Herman kept her happy.

Eventually, all their passionate lovemaking had the usual results. Herman made sure that Hermtraud got a lot of time to relax and take it easy, and during that time, she discovered the beauty of living close to nature, bathing in cold mountain lakes, and relaxing in the shade of old fir trees:

Their first child, Joachim, was soon followed by another, Bernadette (I'm not quite sure *what* Herman thought when she was born, but he did love her just as much as he loved Joachim).

However, eventually tragedy struck while Hermtraud was cloud watching on the lawn in front of their home (I wasn't fast enough with the camera, but she got hit by a falling satellite. I then immediately killed Herman off as well - he was probably hit be additional debris while trying to rescue her)

This left the kids alone: Joachim as a child, and Bernadette one day away from turning into a kid as well. Thankfully she was close, she would have starved to death otherwise. As it was, she only had to nibble on her own hand for a bit before her age-transition. It also seems like Bernadette discovered Yoga while still a toddler (maybe the evil bunny-head in the background gave her the secret?):

Joachim and Bernadette still managed to grow up reasonably well, feeding themselves with the child oven:

But they're teenagers now, full of hormones, and have been alone since long before someone could teach them of morals or taboos. Whatever are they going to do to keep themselves entertained at night...

BTW, here's what their house looks like now. Pretty nice, considering that they only earned money by selling paintings built all of it themselves:

Next week, there'll probably be more storylines. I have some ideas of what's going to happen, I just need the time to actually *make* it happen. *g*

That's it for now. Come back next week for more!
