Breeder:
First of all, because I've never taken one before, here's a nice screen
shot of Sky Prayer:

Ok, on to the more disturbing parts. First up is teenaged Nathaniel,
who has a new male best friend, townie Ricky Cornier. But Ricky thinks
that Nathaniel is getting a bit too touchy-feely, and finally accuses
Nathaniel of being gay. And history seems to be repeating itself: the
accusation makes Nathaniel insanely furious (yeah, he protests a bit
too much...), and soon enough, Ricky finds himself locked in a burning
room. Say goodbye to Ricky, everyone.
[but considering that he's the townie teen who I found
most annoying, I can't say I mind that much. *g*]

Shortly after the family had dealt with the repercussions of having
to hide another murder on their land, the next drama was unfolding.
It all started with young Adah no longer being able to contain her Romance
nature. Unfortunately, she couldn't have picked a worse person for falling
in love with than Ivy Copur, who was, after all, not only black but
also female... It wasn't long before Tobias, who'd been keeping a close
eye on Adah already, discovered them:

Oh, he'd never been more furious. His immediate reaction was to beat
Ivy Copur to a bloody pulp.

And then... he turned his attention to Adah...

Let's just say that... there's a reason there was a double bed in the
room where he punished her. She was also forbidden to ever leave the
house again, and was locked into a small room most of the day - she
was only allowed out twice a day for meals and using the bathroom.

Sky Prayer spent her elder years very unhappily, constantly worrying
about her daughters: one locked up, and the other working like a house-elf...
She died after only a few days as an elder. Sorry, I neglected to take
a picture (I didn't even notice when it happened. One day, she was just
gone, and I eventually found an urn in the upstairs corridor).

Meanwhile, Tobias' wife Daniela was pregnant with their first child.
It turned out to be a daughter, who was named Dinah. Tobias was rather
disappointed: girls are worthless, after all...

Only a day later, during one of the few excursions from her jail
room, Adah suddenly went into labor! And everyone pretty much guessed
just who was responsible for this - only Tobias was thinking of his
wife, and that was probably because he was afraid how she'd react to
this. Adah had a healthy girl that she named Annuncia.

That was the last time she had anything to do with her daughter - Tobias
forced her into the local nunnery immediately afterwards.

Daniela was disgusted and incensed, and packed up Dinah and left as
fast as she could. Tobias wasn't happy to see her go (she'd been quite
a catch, being Daniel Cheater's daughter), but she threatened to ruin
his political career otherwise.

Shortly after Annuncia's birth, timelinewise, Sally Rose had ran away
from the Everyman family, disgusted by the fact that her brother was
homosexual (that happened in the last update). Ok, having his sister
run into his lover one morning was probably not the best way Will could
have outed himself, but Sally Rose was generally a lot more religious
and conservative than her brother. Since she'd always been friends with
the Breeders, they had offered her a place to live until she found a
husband.

But Tobias, who knew that Nathaniel had some homosexual leanings, had
been working on his younger brother, convincing him that taking a wife
would be sure to cure him (or at least give him a better cover). So
as soon as Nathaniel turned into an adult, he proposed to Sally Rose,
who was delighted to be asked to marry into such a wonderful family
(... she's naive, ok?) and accepted happily. They did decide on a long
engagement, tho, so Nathaniel could get started on his career (he became
a lawyer).

Tobias, who knew that he needed a wife if only for media reasons (and
to get a legitimate heir), decided to take a hint from his father and
started courting his intern, Josepha Normals. Josepha, being just as
clueless as Sally Rose, was happy to have such a powerful and handsome
man interested in her, and accepted as well.

Sidenote: for some reason, all other Breeders apart from Tobias decided
they really hated Josepha. I have no real idea why, but it was interesting
to see. *g*
The two couples decided on a family double wedding:

Here an overview of their house: the first floor has a small bedroom
for Rebah and Annuncia. The first level has the bedrooms for the two
couples, a small nursery, and the already prepared bedroom for the two
prospective heirs.

And both wives promptly got pregnant, and both did give birth to fine
boys. Josepha had Jacob, and Sally Rose had Isaac:

I should note that both marriages were maybe not very happy, but they
weren't precisely unhappy, either. Both women had always considered
the most important role for women to be that of wife and mother, and
their husbands didn't *mis*treat them. There wasn't a lot of affection
or woohoo, but then, lust is a sin, anyway. Each had a child to love,
and most of their lives revolved around their respective sons.
For the longest time, Rebah was the only one who was looking after her
sister/niece:

But imagine my surprise when suddenly, Nathaniel decided that he really
loved his niece, and started to look after her, cuddle her, and otherwise
take good care of her. I had such evil plans for him, and then he had
to go and show a caring side. Damn. But since he wanted to, I let him
take over most of Annuncia's upbringing.

Here's a typical evening at the Breeder home: the wives (Sally Rose
is sitting to the side, outside of the picture) sitting demurely and
silently, listening to the men talk about important matters, while in
the background Rebah does all the work:

Time for birthdays! Isaac, Jacob, Annuncia and Rebah all age-transitioned
on the same day. Uh-uh - Isaac and Jacob look... *interesting*.

After Annuncia had turned into a child, Nathaniel fought a fierce battle
with Tobias, but in the end, he won: Annuncia was allowed to leave the
house and go to school. She turned into a pretty well-adjusted child,
considering the circumstances. And while she sometimes did wonder just
who her mother was and what had happened to her, she knew better than
to ask.
By the time the boys turned from toddlers to children, it was clear
that Jacob was not the brightest bulb. Isaac, on the other hand, was
already showing signs of being highly intelligent and very ruthless.
And because Nathaniel still owed a big favor to Tobias after convincing
him that Annuncia would be allowed to go to school, Tobias decided to
call that favor in and demanded that they switch children: Isaac was
now going to be considered Tobias' heir, and Jacob would be considered
Nathaniel's son. Nathaniel agreed - he didn't care about either of the
boys, all his love was reserved for Annuncia. Nobody considered asking
Josepha and Sally Rose: they were just women, their opinions didn't
count.

Isaac thrived under Tobias' tutelage:

Jacob, on the other hand, spent most of his time growing fat from junk
food and loved having his his mother read his favorite teddy bear stories
to him. When she was busy with other things, he mostly just sat on a
chair and stared at nothing.

Rebah had finally also been allowed to hold a job (of a kind): she helped
out with the local church's bible study group. Which didn't excuse her
from still doing all of the cleaning:

Annuncia grew into a not very beautiful (trust me: this screenshot of
her is very flattering) but highly intelligent teenager with a Popularity
aspiration:
Nathaniel had taken to discussing some of his cases with her, and he
was often impressed with her ideas on how to milk even more money from
his clients.

And finally, Jacob and Isaac grew into teenagers as well. Isaac's birthday
(he turned into - of course - a Popularity sim) was a huge event:

Jacob... well, his age-transition happened unnoticed while everyone
was busy cheering Isaac. He's a Family sim.
